The SCDA is a government agency responsible for developing and managing the coastal areas of Sindh, Pakistan.

SCDA was established in 1994 through an Act passed by Sindh Assembly

Sindh has 350km coastline

The main objectives of SCDA include promoting economic development, protecting the environment, and improving the livelihoods of coastal communities.SCDA was also established for the improvement & Beatification of the coastal area i.e Thatta, Sujawal, Badin & Karachi.

SCDA covers the coastal areas of Sindh, including the districts of Karachi, Thatta, Sujawal, and Badin.

SCDA undertakes projects related to infrastructure development, environmental protection, fisheries development, tourism development, and livelihood improvement.

SCDA promotes economic development of the coastal communities of Sindh through community Development oriented projects i.e Farm to market roads, Water supply schemes, Protection Bands, Toilets, Schools, brick parrment, Solar electrification, Floating jetties, Oil palm Plantation, mangroves plantation etc.

SCDA engages with local communities through public consultations, community outreach programs, and partnerships with local organizations.

SCDA supports fisheries development by providing infrastructure.e. farm to market roads and floating jetties & community .

SCDA faces challenges such as limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and environmental degradation.
